Saundra Jean Simmons, formerly of Chattanooga, die on December 31, 2012 in Sugar Land, Texas.
She was the oldest of four children born to William and Francis Mauldin in Dayton, Oh. She and her family later moved to Chattanooga where she resided until relocating to Texas. She was a member of Avondale Church of Christ in Chattanooga where Brother Carl Taylor was minister. She later joined Sugar Land Church of Christ in Texas.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, David, Sr., and son, Marcus Todd.
She is survived by her sons, Toney (Tonya), David, Jr. and William (Vicki); daughters, Angela (Sharron) and Pamela (fiance Houston Hall); 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Richey of Dayton, Oh., and Judy Terry, Los Angeles, Ca.; brother, Tommy Mauldin of Chattanooga, other relatives and friends.
Funeral and memorial services were held on Saturday, Jan. 5, in Sugar Land, and Tuesday, Jan. 9, in Dayton.
Gooden Funeral Home, Inc. in Rosenberg, Tx., handled arrangements.
