Joseph "Opie" Carver, 26, of Jasper, TN, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013.

A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday, January 12, at 2 p.m. CST.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at the Tate Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

Two people were shot and killed in the 2100 block of E. 12th Street on Friday night in an incident in which one vehicle was chasing another.
