Hammers, Lois Jean (South Pittsburg)

Lois Jean Hammers, 84, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Bridge Health Care Facility. 

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. 

She is survived by three daughters, Lois Whitt, Signal Mountain, Phyllis Roberts, Sumter, SC and Brenda Kilgore, South Pittsburg; son, Johnny R. Green, South Pittsburg; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11 at 1 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating. Burial will be in the Hall Cementery, Signal Mountain, TN. 

Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. CST Thursday, January 10.

Report Of Shots Fired At Hamilton Place Mall Sends Crowd Scrambling; No Victims Found

A report of shots fired at Hamilton Place Mall shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday sent customers at the mall racing out in a panic. Police later said no shooting victims had been found.
