Wednesday, January 09, 2013

An autopsy of a two-year-old boy who died after he suffered a gunshot wound at a Harrison home says his grandfather left a loaded pistol on a chair.

It says the gun was a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Brennan Schuyler Nowell suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen at 6568 River Stream Road.

The report says life-saving measures were performed as he was being taken in an ambulance to Children's Hospital in the incident on Dec. 20.

An obituary notice said the young victim "will always live on in our hearts and prayers, locked forever in our minds as a smiling, blue-eyed angel that absorbed life and loved all around him.

He was a beautiful boy that leaves behind countless people who loved him and nurtured him. We will always be blessed for what time we had with him and will pray for the day that we get to see him again."
