“Halloween Haunts and Haints” will take place from 3-7 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Marble Springs State Historic Site. Tickets are $5.
Guests can enjoy trick-or-treating at the historic buildings, children’s craft activities games, and spooky stories for all ages. Storyteller Janice Brooks-Headrick will tell folklore, history tales, oral history, ghost tales and traditional tales from her CD, “Strange Things Happen in the Smokies.”
A costume parade and contest will begin at 5 p.m. The costume contest categories include Best Fictional, Cutest, Scariest, Most Historical, Most Creative, and Best Overall. Registration begins at 3 p.m. and closes at 4:45 p.m. Registration fee of $1.00 per person is required for participation.
