Camaro Club Show Raises Funds For Children's Hospital Saturday

Showdown in the Scenic City, an open car show and a fall festival presented by the Scenic City Camaro Club, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Mountain View Chevrolet.  Proceeds from the event will benefit T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital. 

The event will feature arts and crafts, food, activities for children, raffles, live music, and a showdown between Chevrolet and Ford for the Grand Trophy.  Trophies will also be presented for all other classes.  

Participants can register until the end of Tuesday for $10 or at the event for $15.  Spectators can attend for free.

Firefighters Against Hunger Food Drive Benefits Area Food Bank

The Chattanooga Fire Department’s 8th annual Firefighters Against Hunger Food Drive for this year is history and the totals are in from the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. For the week of Aug. 18–24, Chattanooga firefighters collected 2,364 pounds of food and $950 in cash.   Last year, the department collected 2,811 pounds of food, and $265 in cash donations. Plan Revived For 5-Story Boutique Hotel Next To The Walnut Street Bridge

Grand Jury Says County Needs To Start "Immediately" On Funding A New County Jail
