The list of applicants for two magistrate posts has jumped back up to 23.
Those were the ones to apply, then it was ruled that those not living in Hamilton County would be tossed out. That was seven of the applicants.
However, officials said Tuesday, "Upon further consideration, the Hamilton County Commission has decided to interview all applicants including non-residents of Hamilton County with the understanding that any candidate appointed must be a Hamilton County resident prior to being administered the oath of office."
The interviews are scheduled for next Monday.
The magistrates set bonds and sign warrants from an office at the county jail.
