United Methodist Women's Day will be observed Sunday at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 419 McCallie Ave. The UMW will be raising funds for World Missions with the sale of wooden ornaments, which will be available for purchase Sunday after worship in the Narthex, at the Fall Festival and on Sundays as long as they last. .Dr. Doug Fairbanks will speak at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. sanctuary services on "The Outward Sign of Inner Well-Being," with text from Luke 17:11-19.
The Children's Choirs will participate in the 10:45 a.m. service. They will join with the Chancel Choir, handbells and flute to present "Sing to the Lord a New Song." In addition, the Music Makers will play and the Cherub and Celestial Choirs will sing songs of praise.
