Lady Mocs Softball Announces Blue And Gold Rosters

The Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball team announced its Blue & Gold Game rosters Thursday afternoon for its 11 a.m. Saturday inter-squad matchup at Frost Stadium. The matchup will feature two split-squad teams along with the pitchers serving as a third, all-time-pitcher team. Admission is and a free picnic sponsored by the Lady Moc RBI Club will immediately follow outside the stadium behind the first base line after the game.

“Blue and Gold weekend is always fun,” Head Coach Frank Reed said. “We always have it the weekend of Homecoming and we always have a great turnout. It’s great to incorporate the softball game into the Homecoming festivities, giving fans a chance to come watch some softball and eat before going over to Finley for the football game.”

Ten Lady Mocs have been assigned to each team while Chattanooga’s four pitchers will wear white uniforms and will not step into the batter’s box.

Fire Displaces Family Of 7; Blaze Ruled Accidental

No injuries were reported in connection with a house fire on Saturday afternoon that displaced a family of seven. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 4:11 p.m. and responded to 3308 Dodson Ave. with five fire companies. Clarence Ross, Leshawn Witherow Shot On Walden Avenue Friday Afternoon
