Nellie E. McLean, 84, of Soddy Daisy, died on Thursday, October 10, 2013. 

She was a devoted mother to her children and was loved by all. She will be truly missed. 

Nellie was preceded in death by her father, William Howard; mother, Mary Howard; sister, Pearl Vickers; brothers, Lloyd and Arthur Howard.

Survivors include her children, Thelma (Eddie) Hindman, James (Rita) Myers, Judy Rogers, Farrelle Myers, Patricia (Fred) Wallace and Jimmy McLean; sisters, Christine Jenkins and Lucille Howard; grandchildren, Chad, Sabrina, Jamie, Derrick, Angela, Jeremy, Jennifer and Rachal and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 14, at Straightway Holiness Church at noon with Reverend Aaron Simmons and Reverend Troy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Baptist Cemetery with James Myers, Farrelle Myers, Derrick Myers, Chad Wallace, Fred Wallace, Jimmy McLean, Jeremy Harden and Eddie Hindman serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
