Tennis Mocs Finish Play at USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional

The Mocs wrapped up play at the 2013 USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Sunday.  UTC dropped two singles matches in consolation action to close out its participation in the tournament in Knoxville, Tenn. 

Sophomore John Peacey (Emerald, Australia) dropped his consolation match to Lipscomb’s David Salazar (6-2, 6-3).  Junior Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia) advance in the bracket by default before losing to Butler’s Pulok Bhattacharya (6-3, 6-2).

 

The Mocs have one more tournament on the fall schedule.  They travel to the Grizzly Open at Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga., on Oct. 18-20.

Man Barges Into Woman's Home In MLK Neighborhood; Tries To Rape Her; Photos Of Suspect Released

Chattanooga Police said a man barged into a woman's home in the MLK Neighborhood around noon on Tuesday and tried to rape the woman.   Police said, "The victim was followed by the suspect into her residence where the victim was then attacked.
