Father Of Injured Son To Present Emergency Responders With Award

Monday, October 14, 2013

Eleven year old Jeffrey Hussey was riding his bicycle on Bates Pike on April 10 when he struck a car. He suffered a serious head injury and was treated by Bradley County EMS and Bradley County Fire Department on the scene. Lifeforce helicopter landed on the scene and flew the child to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

The injuries that Jeffrey received were life threatening and his initial prognosis was not good. To the doctors’ amazement he pulled through. He spent some time in Siskin Rehab and is now home still recovering. Jeffery’s dad wants to recognize all of the responders that helped that day.

There will be a cook-out and award ceremony at the Bradley County Fire Station on Inman Street Sunday at 3 p.m. The fire station is on Inman Street next to the Museum in downtown Cleveland.

Mr. Hussey is going to give a plaque to each of the responders.
