During Southern Adventist University’s Alumni Weekend, McKee Library will be hosting its fourth annual “Celebrate Twain” event on Friday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. This year's guest speaker is Victor Fischer, principal editor of the Mark Twain Papers at the Bancroft Library (University of California – Berkeley). Mr. Fischer's talk will cover what it means to “edit” Mark Twain, with a special focus on Twain’s letters.
In addition to the lecture, the library will display artifacts, signed copies, first editions, and other Twain-related items belonging to a collection named for donors Duane and Eunice Bietz.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 236-2788.
