In its first season ever, the Dalton State volleyball team started the season slow. But the Lady Roadrunners are now on a three game winning streak.
Dalton (6-10) knocked-off Brewton-Parker Tuesday night in an easy 3-0 fashion - 25-16, 25-15, and 25-11.
Lady Roadrunner coach Bruna Langner said it was a chance to play a lot of her team. She said everyone played well, but she was particularly proud of freshman Karly Newman from Ooltewah.
“Karly has a shoulder injury,” Langner said. “She played through the pain and played well.”
The Lady Roadrunners play the final three home matches of the season in two different locations. Next action will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. They will host University of the Cumberlands in the Dalton High School gym.
