Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, announced that Pastor Mitch McClure will speak on the topic, "Sometimes You Have To Be A Farmer" in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. This message will focus on the reality that we live in difficult times that challenge our patience and faith. As we live in these times, we must develop the patience of a farmer. The goal of this message is to motivate each person to patient living in the power of Jesus Christ.
Pastor McClure will lead the congregation in a time of prayer and Bible reading on Sunday, at 6:30 p.m. The congregation is participating in the year long READ Initiative sponsored by the Church of God. This Initiative is intended to motivate all participants to read through the entire Bible in 12 months.
Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. classes are made available for all age groupings. Pastor McClure is presently leading a Bible study called, "Developing A Spiritual Strategy." It is partially based on a book by Tony Evans and is being taught in the Administrative Classroom of the church.
Sunday School is available each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all age groupings.
