ArtsBuild (formerly Allied Arts) has appointed seven community leaders to serve on its Board of Directors.
Appointees include: Wayne Cropp, president and CEO, The Enterprise Center; Bijan Dhanani, Advertising & Special Projects, Delegator; Liza Soydan, director of Business Development, Clarus Consulting Group, Inc.; Gerald Webb, attorney, Speek and Webb, PLLC; Peggy Townsend, owner, Townsend Atelier; Steve Hunt, managing partner, Berry and Hunt; and Roland Carter, professor emeritus, UTC.
“ArtsBuild is honored to have such an extraordinary group of individuals volunteer their time, resources, and skills to help lead this organization into its next phase of growth,” said Jim Kennedy III, ArtsBuild’s Board chair. A total of 31 community members from the greater Chattanooga area serve on ArtsBuild’s Board of Directors.
“I am honored to have been invited to be a part of ArtsBuild during such an important and exciting time for our arts community,” said Ms. Townsend, who also serves as the director of Public Art Chattanooga.
ArtsBuild, celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2014, has the mission of building a stronger community through the arts.
