Jerome Ira Patterson, 34, of Menlo, Georgia, died on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Patterson was born July 5, 1979 in Rome, Ga., the son of Nancy Rebecca Blackmon Patterson and the late Charles Darrell Patterson. He was a member of the Summerville Pentecostal Worship Center and was employed with Burger King. He loved music, computers, and spending time with his niece and nephew.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his mother, Nancy Patterson; sister, Crystal Patterson Tucker; brother-in-law, John Tucker; niece, Leann Porter; and nephew, Zack Tucker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Clements, Reverend Kevin Woods, and Reverend Andy Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in the Summerville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bill Parker, David Simpson, Kip Vaughn, Aaron Simpson, Brad Patterson, and Kenny Tomlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Lee, Luke Lee, Jonathan Scroggins, Aaron Simpson, Sr., and Jeremy Kaykendall.
Mr. Patterson will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
