Tim Swafford Named NAHB Remodeler Of The Year

NAHB Remodelers, the remodeling arm of the National Association of Home Builders, named Tim Swafford, CGR, CAPS, CGP, of Swafford Construction in Chattanooga, the 2013 Remodeler of the Year in recognition of his professional remodeling achievements. 

The announcement was made at the NAHB Remodelers’ gala last Thursday during the Remodeling Show in Chicago.

“Tim Swafford’s superior professionalism is evident in the high regard in which he is held by his clients and peers,” said NAHB Remodelers Chairman Bill Shaw, GMR, GMB, CGP, a remodeler from Houston. “I’m pleased to present this award to a remodeler who is a leader in customer service, craftsmanship and in all levels of our association.”

Mr. Swafford has been in business with Swafford Construction since 1985 and joined NAHB Remodelers in 2003. He is involved in the Home Builders Association of Greater Chattanooga where he serves as the current president in addition to being an NAHB National Director and a member of the NAHB Remodelers Board of Trustees. 

In addition to his excellent customer service record, Mr. Swafford is an active community volunteer who exemplifies the remodeling industry’s charitable spirit.

Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise Offers Refinancing On 30-Year FHA Mortgages Granted After April 18, 2011

Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise now offers refinancing on all 30-year Federal Housing Administration mortgage loans granted after April 18, 2011. The news comes following the White House decision in January to reduce the annual FHA mortgage insurance premiums from 1.35 percent to 0.85 percent. Man Charged In Shooting On Sixth Avenue Had Been Shot Himself Last Week; Police Say Incident "Part Of Gang War"

A man charged with attempted first-degree murder on Sixth Avenue Court on Thursday afternoon was shot himself earlier this month.
