GPS Soccer Falls In State Quarterfinals

A disappointing end to a great season for the GPS (10-4-1) girls soccer team as they traveled to Harpeth Hall on Friday afternoon.

GPS lost 4-0 ending their season in the quarterfinals of the Division II Class AA state tournament. 

GPS was the 4th seed coming out of the East/Middle region.  Harpeth Hall was the 2nd seed. 

With the loss, Chattanooga will not be represented in the division II state soccer semifinals which begin next week in Murfreesboro.

The Baylor Red Raiders lost 1-0 to Brentwood last week in a first round game.

Tennessee Wesleyan Women's Soccer Advances To Sweet 16 In Orange Beach, Ala.

3 People Shot Early Saturday Morning; 1 Is Killed; 2 Victims Are Known Gang Members

Ladarius Cross, 28, Terrance Careathers, 26, and a juvenile were shot early Saturday morning. CSAS Teacher Who Was Once Reported Missing Facing DUI Charge

A teacher at Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, who recently was reported missing and then was spotted, has now been arrested. John Albert Eaton, 44, was arrested Sunday in Red Bank on a DUI charge. He gave his address as 9580 Sweet Gum Lane, Soddy Daisy.
