Battle Academy Has Battle Banzai Festival Saturday

Battle Banzai: The Greatest Show on Main takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The circus-themed signature festival will be held on the school's campus at 1601 Market St. (the corner of Main and Market Streets).  

Admission is free; family fun, children's games and activities, and inflatables are available for a nominal ticket price. Food will be available for purchase from Southern Burger Company, The Muenster Truck, Chick-fil-A and more.  

A silent auction will feature original art, gift cards to local restaurants and attractions, and closet installation by Chattanooga Closet Company along with local vendors offering their wares. Entertainment will include aerial dancers, a fire eater, big band music from Tabernacle and the Battle Chorus. 

The public is invited to participate in the festival.


Friends Of Hixson Community Awards

Hixson residents David Leatherwood and June Cooper received community awards at the Friends of Hixson Community Breakfast last Wednesday.   Mr. Leatherwood was awarded a Community Impact Award for his leadership in the Hixson community Food City. Voting Begins For 15 Finalists In Overhead Sign Message Contest

Voting begins on Tuesday to choose the winners from the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Dynamic Message Sign Contest. Firefighters Stop Fire At Local IHOP Restaurant

Chattanooga firefighters did not have far to go when fire broke out at the IHOP on Highway 153 in Hixson around  9 a.m.  on Friday. City Councilman Chris Anderson Gearing Up For Election A Year Away

City Councilman Chris Anderson is already gearing up for the next city election, though it is over a year away.
