Chattanooga-based logistics provider Access America Transport has been featured in the second annual Inc. Hire Power Awards as the #62-ranked private business generating the most jobs in the past 18 months.
Access America generated over 211 jobs from Jan. 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, making it the second largest private job creator in the state of Tennessee over that timeframe with almost 100% employee growth. AAT was also ranked third in employee growth in the transportation industry nationally.
“It’s an honor for Access America to be recognized by Inc. as one of America’s leading job creators. Even through the worst of the economic downturn, AAT continued to thrive because we remained driven on setting a new standard for customer service in the logistics industry,” Access America President Chad Eichelberger said. “We believe our company represents the potential for young entrepreneurs to resuscitate the U.S. economy, and that is why we continue to strive to fill our company with entrepreneurial-minded individuals.”
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that only 222,000 full-time jobs were added in 2012. Compare those numbers to the honorees of Inc. magazine’s Hire Power Awards, which created 69,182 jobs between January 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
Earlier this year Access America was named the ninth “Most Promising Company in America” by Forbes and was named to the “Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America” in 2011.
Started in 2002 by three recent college graduates who continue to serve as the company’s CEO, COO and CFO, Access America has been lauded as one of the most remarkable entrepreneurial success stories of the 21st century. Access America’s total sales are expected to exceed $500 million in 2013.
