Allegations Of Missing Funds At Kidney Foundation To Be Turned Over To DA; Jennifer McGlohon On Leave Of Absence

Allegations of missing funds at the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area will be turned over to the district attorney's office, Milli Yium, foundation founder and board member, said Thursday.

Ms. Yium said Executive Director Jennifer McGlohon is on a leave of absence.

She said Jonathan Turner, attorney for the foundation, will be conferring with the DA's office.

Ms. Yium said Heather Webster is serving as interim executive director.

She said the work of the foundation is continuing and "we are meeting the needs of those who come into our office."

Ms. Yium said the foundation provides supplemental funding to meet the needs of kidney patients.

She said the group's fundraising efforts are continuing.

The foundation was established in 1981.

DeArius Moore, 21, Shot On Pinewood Avenue on Tuesday Afternoon

DeArius Moore, 21, was shot on Pinewood Avenue on Tuesday.   The Chattanooga Police Department responded at 12:15 p.m. to a person who had been shot at the 3300 block of Pinewood Ave.   The Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on reports of a patient suffering from a gunshot wound.
