Allegations Of Missing Funds At Kidney Foundation To Be Turned Over To DA; Jennifer McGlohon On Leave Of Absence

Allegations of missing funds at the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area will be turned over to the district attorney's office, Milli Yium, foundation founder and board member, said Thursday.

Ms. Yium said Executive Director Jennifer McGlohon is on a leave of absence.

She said Jonathan Turner, attorney for the foundation, will be conferring with the DA's office.

Ms. Yium said Heather Webster is serving as interim executive director.

She said the work of the foundation is continuing and "we are meeting the needs of those who come into our office."

Ms. Yium said the foundation provides supplemental funding to meet the needs of kidney patients.

She said the group's fundraising efforts are continuing.

The foundation was established in 1981.

Tolliver Pleads Guilty In Federal Court In Home Invasion Case

A Chattanooga man pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday in connection with a charge that arose out of a home invasion on Jan. 16. Danetrius Tolliver, 27, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced by Judge Sandy Mattice on Nov. 28. I  park in the theater parking lot at Broad and 4th Street.  I depend on the walk signs to get me there safely.  Most days I almost get hit by someone turning left or right coming from the exit ramp off 27 or turning right on 4th street from Chestnut.
