Crime Stoppers: Auto Theft On Dodds Avenue

Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking information regarding an auto theft that occurred in the 4300 block of Dodds Avenue in Chattanooga. 

The Chattanooga Police Department responded to report of the theft of a 2002 Honda Accord (a silver two-door model) in a parking lot on Dodds Avenue and E. 43rd Street. The victim was outside of his car talking to an uninvolved party when a younger white male walked up behind him, got into his still-running car, and simply drove away. The report was delayed because the victim's phone was still inside his car.

Anyone with information in this case should call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could result in a cash reward.

Bradley County SPCA Board Addresses Allegations Of Unanswered Calls

During a Monday afternoon Bradley County Commission meeting, a representative from the sheriff's department said that there were 266 emergency calls unanswered by the SPCA regarding animals. Bradley County Commission Weighs Using ICC Building Codes

Bradley County Commissioner Charlotte Peak urged the commission to think before possibly voting to opt out of using state approved ICC building codes. She said, "If we opt out, we might as well kiss all of these grants goodbye that we've ever applied for."
