Chattanooga Native Named 2014 Monster Truck Artist Of The Year

Chattanooga native Brandon Maddox, has been named 2014 Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals Artist of the Year.  

Mr. Maddox has a catalog of over 800 original songs, 18 artist cuts, and a song in a movie that was released in 2012.  His EP was produced by Doug Sisemore, Reba McEntire's long-time band leader and keyboard player.  

Mr. Maddox had several big shows during 2013, including a show at Riverbend 2013, which he says was a childhood dream come true. Mr. Maddox played several shows at Nashville's CMA Fest in June and later performed with Brett Eldredge in Colorado at the Colorado State Fair.

Officials said, "Brandon is excited to be cutting the Monster Truck theme song 'The Bigger the Wheels, The Better the Man,' on his next album, and thrilled at the chance to tour the country and build fan bases across the U.S."

County Schools Have Plan To Put Security Cameras At Every School

The Hamilton County Schools have a plan to put security cameras in every school, Supt. Rick Smith told the County School Board Thursday night. Lookout Mountain, Ga., Raises Sewer Rates; Joins In Kudzu Fight

The Lookout Mountain, Ga., City Council on Thursday night approved an increase in sewer charges.
