Helen Margaret Roan, 81, of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Cullman, AL on June 6, 1932 to the late Tollie T. and Lois Annebelle Duckett Kilgore. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Born Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Grady Robert Roan.
She is survived by her daughters and spouses, Louise and Roger Jenkins of Ft. Payne, AL, Geneva Edwards, Eva McGraw and Carolyn and Tony Prater all of Summerville; sons and spouses, Ronnie and Gladys Roan, Donnie and Tammie Road, Doyle and Gail Roan, Loyle and Ruthie Roan, Dandell and Judy Roan, Alton Roan and Eddie Lee Roan all of Summerville; brothers, Billy Wayne Kilgore of Cullman, AL and Junior Alton Kilgore of Summerville; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 6 at 1:30 p.m. from the First Born Church of God with Revs. Ray Caldwell, Bobby Brown, and Kenny Ash officiating. Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn Smith, Mickey McGraw, Chris Edwards, Steven Roan, Keith Smith, Rickey Johnson and Darrell Wayne Kilgore.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 5 from 6-8 p.m. at theEarle Rainwater Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
