Retired From 1st Tennessee Bank After 48 Years

Brenda Gail Erwin, 70 of Rossville, died on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in a local hospital. 

She retired from First Tennessee Bank after 48 years of service and was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, U.L. “Shorty” and Nona Sprayberry Erwin; and sisters, Doris Erwin Case and Jeanette Erwin Britt.

Survivors include her sisters, Jerry Sue Erwin, Carol (Charles) Whitt, brother, Rick (Kay) Erwin, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Hoback, and Dr. Cherry for their loving care and support.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Simpson United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 11:30 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Reverend Janice Keebler officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
