Chattanooga linebackers coach Rusty Wright is the scheduled speaker for today's Chattanooga Quarterback Club luncheon at Finley Stadium at noon.

Coach Wright will discuss the Mocs' 42-21 win against Western Carolina this past Saturday and the upcoming Homecoming game Saturday against Furman at 6 p.m. at Finley Stadium.

A UTC grad, Wright was a receiver for the Mocs from 1992-95 and caught 50 passes.

He also spent seven seasons on the UTC staff from 1996-02 where he served in various roles, including coaching the linebackers, tackles, tight ends, special teams and the junior varsity squad.

The cost of lunch is $10 and the public is invited.


UTC Golfers 11th At Furman Intercollegiate

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team is in 11th-place through the first 18 holes of the Furman Intercollegiate. The Mocs shot 3-over par 291 and is one shot behind Virginia Tech in 10th at 290.   Wes Gosselin led the way with a 1-under 71. He’s tied for 18th, but just two shots out of the top 5 overall. Lady Scots 7-2 Over Agnes Scott Tennis

The Covenant women's tennis team opened USA South play with a 7-2 victory over Agnes Scott on Friday evening at the Covenant Tennis Complex on Lookout Mountain. The win extended Covenant's regular season conference winning streak to 11 matches dating back to last season. Motorcyclist Killed In Wreck On E. 34th Street

Brandon Tuders, 21, was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon.   Chattanooga Police Officers responded to a single vehicle motorcycle crash in the 1900 block of East 34th Street.   The accident occurred at approximately  12 p.m.  Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling east on 34th Street on the wrong side of the road in a curve. ...
