Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit apprehended Santory Johnson, 35, at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the Alton Park area.  

Johnson was wanted for the murder of Christopher Jones on October 4, 2013 at 4000 Chandler Ave.

Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting at 4000 Chandler Ave., on Friday, at approximately 11:25 p.m.  where they found the victim, Christopher Jones, 24, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  

It was reported to detectives that Jones was arguing with Johnson, when Johnson shot him.

Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
