Funeral services will be Thursday for a Birchwood man who was killed in the crash of his pickup truck on Grasshopper Road on Saturday afternoon.
Billy “Bill” Joe LeRoy Jr., 59, was employed with Horizon Milling in Chattanooga for over five years. He was previously employed as a diesel mechanic with Foodliner Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia R. LeRoy; son, Clay LeRoy; daughters, Caty LeRoy and Courtney LeRoy all of Birchwood, Mandy “Carrie” Watson and her husband Jason and Sonia Wilcox both of Benton; grandchildren, Shawn, Beth, Austin and Ethan Watson also of Benton; his mother, Wilma J. Goode of Cleveland; brothers, Anthony LeRoy and his wife Kelly of Birchwood, Roy LeRoy of Tiftonia, Ricky Long of Birchwood, Vance LeRoy and his wife Anita of Apison and Shane LeRoy of Cleveland; his sisters, Wilma Cole and her husband Joe of Dalton, Marilyn Murphy and her husband Wayne of Harrison, Darlene LeRoy of Cleveland, Nancy Burchfield and her husband Charles of Cleveland, Kathy Bean and her husband Joe of Decatur, Sarah LeRoy of Ooltewah and Sheila Sanders and her husband Darryl of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. at the North Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Dewayne Lee officiating. The interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery.
