Public Forum Offered On Benefits And Equity Ordinance

There will be forum hosted by the Citizens for Government Accountability & Transparency on Thursday.

The question and answer event will be discussing the Benefits & Equity Ordinance.  

The forum will be held at Westview Elementary School, 9629 East Brainerd Road on Thursday, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

WDEF-TV will co-moderate the event. Gregg Juster will be also be a moderator. All city council members and Mayor Andy Berke have been invited. Larry Grohn, Ken Smith, Russell Gilbert, Chip Henderson, and Carol Berz have said they will attend.

Customer At East Ridge Gas Station Shoots Robber; Police Find Him Lying In Parking Lot; He Had Been Trying To Take Female Clerk With Him

East Ridge Police said a customer at an East Ridge gas station early Thursday morning shot a robber, who was then found by police lying outside the station and was arrested.
