New City Fellowship Congregations To Celebrate 5-Year Anniversary Of East Lake Campus On Sunday

Monday, November 11, 2013

The congregations of New City Fellowship at Westminster and New City-East Lake will be worshiping together on Sunday, at 11 a.m. in the auditorium of the East Lake Academy of Fine Arts, 2700 East 34th Street in East Lake, celebrating five years since the establishing of the New City East Lake worship site.

There will be no services or Sunday School at the Glenwood or East Lake campuses, but a combined celebration at the school in East Lake with a time of worship and preaching by Pastors Kevin Smith and Jim Pickett.

New City’s vision is to establish a cross-cultural worshiping community, centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that produces discipled believers who become God’s instruments of grace, justice, and mercy.

Bob Tamasy: Legacy: The Impact That Keeps On Giving

The term “legacy” isn’t going away any time soon. It became a fixture of my own vocabulary in 2001, when I joined the team of a non-profit named Leaders Legacy. Despite living in times that ... (click for more)

Unlike Republicans, some of them serve on multiple boards and some of them serve with one another on the same boards. This is outrageous. We all know that boards and ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: Please Don’t Get Numb

Several weeks ago we woke up to learn there had been another shooting in Chattanooga and the next day there were two paragraphs on the fourth page of the newspaper.  It has become so common we as a society have grown numb to it and, when a teen-aged girl in Texas said she wasn’t surprised last week when eight students and two teachers were massacred in her school some 30 miles ...
