James M. Haley IV, chairman of Miller & Martin, announced that Patrick Mitchell has been elected to the firm’s policy committee.  The policy committee serves as the firm’s managing board of directors.

Attorney Mitchell, a 13-year veteran of the firm, concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance and general business representation.

A new $30 million development is planned for the Southside at King Street and South Market. The District Attorney's Office defended a controversial suspended sentence in a rape case involving a substitute county school bus driver.
