Cleanup Needed Along I-24 Entering Chattanooga - And Response

  • Thursday, November 14, 2013

Chattanooga is billed as the Scenic City and it is but, one area needs improvement. The first and last thing city visitors see as they are coming to or going away from Chattanooga on I-24 West is the view of the river around the bend.

It would be great if Chattanooga could do away with the ugly chain link fence and the overgrown brush and scrub trees behind the guard rails.

What a fantastic view and what a great way to remember Chattanooga.

You make a good point, Floyd Craig. Also, let's not forget the dilapidated, rust belt looking, graffiti enhanced properties owned by Michael Mallen and his partners at Perimeter Properties on the other side of the interstate, also know as the old Wheland Foundry and U.S.Pipe property.
