Coral Scott
A Chattanooga man was charged with aggravated statutory rape for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl in a motel. Police arrested 33-year-old Coral Scott when the alleged victim's mother said she discovered that he had been meeting her daughter in different motels to have sex with her.
Incidents took place at the Cherokee Motel and Motel 6, it was claimed
Before his arrest, a detective said he tried to contact Scott several times, but he never answered or returned calls.
The alleged victim's mother told police that multiple unknown callers had been contacting her, telling her not to press charges against Scott.
The girl said that one of the days that she met Scott was Dec. 20, 2012. Police investigated and found that Scott had booked a motel room on this date.
Bond has been set at $12,500.
He was out on bond from two prior aggravated statutory rape charges and drug counts. He is set to appear before Criminal Court Judge Don Poole Nov. 22 on those cases.
