A motel employee has been charged with repeated rapes of a housekeeper at the same motel.

The alleged victim said she did not come forward earlier because Johnny Rapoza told her no one would believe her and she would lose her job.

Rapoza, 41, of 15 Windy Hill Dr., Ringgold, Ga., is charged with sexual battery and three counts of rape.

Police interviewed the woman at the Holiday Express at Ooltewah. She said she was raped by Rapoza in April, June and July.

The woman said in the first case she was in a room changing the linens when Rapoza entered the room. She said he came up behind her and pushed her face into the bed. She said he then pulled down her pants and underwear and raped her from the rear.

She said as she screamed for help he finished the rape, zipped his pants and walked out of the room.

The woman said the second rape was in mid-June. She said she was cleaning a room when he came in and pushed her into a chair. She said he then forced her to commit oral sex on him.

She said the third rape occurred at the beginning of July when she went to the hotel shop and maintenance room to retrieve some batteries. She said Rapoza was in the room and, before she could get away, he grabbed her and made her sit in a chair. She said he again forced her to perform oral sex.

The woman said Rapoza told her he had access to the camera system and could erase any video of the alleged incidents.
