Man, 26, Shot On McCallie Avenue

A 26-year-old man was shot on McCallie Avenue late Friday night.

The victim was identified as James Crafton.

Chattanooga Police officers were dispatched at 11:23 p.m. to an area hospital on a person shot call. Upon arrival officers found the victim, who had suffered a single gunshot wound. 

Investigators spoke with Crafton, who could not provide any suspect information, but believed the incident occurred around the 1900 block of McCallie Avenue. No evidence was found at 1900 McCallie by police. 

Crafton was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.


Another Truck Wrecks On Retro Hughes Road

Another truck wrecked Tuesday afternoon on Retro Hughes Road. A different truck wrecked last Thursday at the same curve. Both were headed to a site where a new hangar is being built.  The truck that wrecked on Tuesday was carrying the doors for the hangar.     (click for more)
