Re:  New Proposals For Post-Fire Logging Fail To Protect Northern Spotted Owls

I would be happy to see a way to post rebuttal comments after that article.  It is already proven out that all of the restrictions to logging have not added the Owl.

At the same time this article is devoid of any facts about the destruction of our forests when left to nature.  It also does not mention the wanton and continuing devastation of the timber counties economies in Oregon even after it is known that the Northern Spotted Owl is a declining species unaffected by timber harvesting.

This sounds more like a propaganda piece intended to continue hoodwinking those unaware of the reality of the “Spotted Owl Hoax.”

Great note to the Chattanoogan on the Spotted Owl, David. Try reading my book Timber about the timber crisis in the PNW.

The owl was only a means to an end with the environmentalists and Al Gore let the courts and Judge Dwyer close down the most productive region for timber in the country. Remember Clinton's and Gore's campaign "promise" of protecting the jobs and the environment in the PNW.Way too many lost their jobs and children lost their parents.

Thanks again for your note.

Unholy Siedlecki/Anderson Alliance

Time for the Carpetbagger Siedlecki to go back to Nashville. I think we've all heard about as much as we need to hear from the "mistakes" laden first-time politician. I've been hearing disturbing things this person has been saying to seniors across this great county of ours. The impious alliance he's formed with City Councilman Anderson to disparage a good man like Marty Haynes ... (click for more)

A New Path To Leadership

Have you noticed how Hamilton County Republicans follow a carefully orchestrated path to elected office? Career politicians jump from School Board to County Commission to county-wide positions. The GOP has no room for talented, successful individuals from outside their close-knit circle. Now’s your chance to blow that circle wide open. Vote for Democrat Mark Siedlecki ... (click for more)
