Chattanooga Girls Choir, Dinner, And Visit With St. Nicholas At Grace Episcopal

Start Advent with an oasis of lovely sound with a concert by the Chattanooga Girls’ Choir this Sunday, December 1, at 5:00 p.m. in the Nave at Graced Episcopal Church, 20 Belvoir Ave.; the concert is free of charge and there is childcare available (see article below). Organizers said, "Good music will fortify you against the next four weeks of Mommy kissing Santa Claus and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with Rudolph and his notable proboscis."

If your child is too young or restless for the Girls’ Choir concert at 5 p.

m., drop them off with Maria downstairs. After you’ve reveled in the young voices of the choir, bring the whole family to the Undercroft for a luxurious dinner served by the clergy. Stories, laughter, and a visit from St. Nicholas (the Saint, not the Santa) will follow the meal.

Connor Smith To Serve 2-Year Mission For LDS Church

Judge Cuts Bond To $50,000 For Man Charged In Fatal Woodmore Bus Wreck

Criminal Court Judge Don Poole has reduced the bond for the school bus driver charged in the wreck that killed six Woodmore Elementary students. Judge Poole, in a written opinion, cut the bond to $50,000 for Johnthony Walker. He said if he makes the bond, he will need to be under GPS monitoring. Walker will not be allowed to drive. State To Retry Smart On North Chattanooga Rape Charge; Bond Conditions Lifted

The state plans to retry the case in which a 17-year-old was charged with raping a 69-year-old jogger in North Chattanooga three years ago. Judge Don Poole on Aug. 25 had declared a mistrial after a jury said it was deadlocked. Diontae Smartt, who was charged with aggravated rape, was already free on bond.
