Calvin Dewayne "Bugsy" "Lil' Calvin" Ward, 17, died on December 4, 2013.
He was born in Winona, Ms., to Ruby Jean Anderson and Calvin Junior Ward.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Roosevelt and Ella Mae Glover; grandfather, Lovell Robinson; aunts, Latonya and Mattie Anderson; cousin, Okerria Anderson.
He is survived by his parents, Ruby Jean Anderson and Calvin Junior Ward; brothers, LaQinton Anderson, Devonte' Ward, Decalvious Olton-Woods; Quanterrius Ward; and Dacorian Taylor; sisters, Tyesha Anderson and Takeria Buchanan; grandparents, Mary Ella Weeks, Rosie Mae Anderson and Curtis Brownlow; cousin and guardian, Shalunda (Carlis) Shackleford and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the funeral home chapel.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Dec. 13, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
