Carolyn Congdon
Carolyn Rothwell Congdon, 69, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Erlanger Medical Center.
Carolyn was a wonderful mother, loving daughter and devoted wife. She was a caring and compassionate person to those friends she developed during her service at (American National) SunTrust Bank. Carolyn was with SunTrust Bank for 30 years and held a position as the head teller of the Hixson Branch.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Lonas William Rothwell
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Nora Jennings Rothwell; husband, Lloyd Congdon; Daughter Wendi Leigh (Bobby ) Stott; two sons, Michael Stephen Congdon and William Bradley ( Holly) Congdon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Rothwell (Mike) Robinson; and her faithful loving and assistant caregiver (Dog) Barney.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 4-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Gray Massey officiating.
Interment will follow to Chattanooga Memorial Park.
