Woman Shot Outside Terry's Lounge On 6th Avenue

A woman was shot outside a lounge on 6th Avenue early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:40 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at 4318 6th Ave. at Terry’s Lounge.  

Officers located the victim, Dimesha Kirk, who stated that she had been shot in the upper right part of her chest while standing outside of the lounge.  

Ms. Kirk was transported to a local hospital for the non-life-threatening injury.  Detectives were unable to speak with Ms. Kirk at the hospital and have no suspect information at this time.

A man had his rental car riddled with bullets last week at Terry's Lounge.

A man was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault for a Jan. 21, 2011,  shooting at Terry’s Lounge when it was at 4010 Rossville Blvd.

Crandall, Ga., Man Gets 15 Years In Prison, 15 Years Probation After Wreck That Killed Couple On Motorcycle

A Crandall, Ga., man whose vehicle crossed the center line and killed a couple on a motorcycle has been sentenced 15 years in prison followed by 15 years on probation.   Gary Robert Cooper, 60, of 2205 Jim Petty Road, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced on two counts of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and driving while license suspended.  ...
