Adelene Collins Bonner, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee died on Monday, December 16, 2013.
She was born in Newnan, Ga., and a resident of the Chattanooga area for over 50 years and was retired from Sears and Roebuck after 30 years of service. Adelene will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, mother-in-law and grandmother whose trust in God was a testament to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Bonner Sr.; infant son, Phillip Bonner; infant daughter, Sandra Bonner and parents, Edward Collins Sr. and Essie Collins.
She is survived by three children, Robert “Bob” (Carolyn) Bonner of Ringgold, Truitt (Jo) Bonner of Harrison, and Freddie (Cindy) Bonner, Jr. of Birchwood, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Brett DeHart officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 5-9 and Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
