Pilgrim Congregational To Hold Christmas Eve Service

Pilgrim Congregational Church (UCC) will hold a Christmas Eve service of traditional carols and readings on Tuesday, December 24 at 7p.m. Second Missionary Baptist Church and The Rock will also be participating in the service.

Pilgrim Church is located at 400 Glenwood Drive at 3rd Street, about a block from Memorial Hospital. For more information call 698-5682.

Dynamic Church To Hold 5th Annual "Love Gives Wheels" Holiday Bike Drive

Dynamic Church will hold its fifth annual “Love Gives Wheels” holiday bike drive. The 36-hour event will be hosted at Walmart, 2020 Gunbarrel Road, from 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Officer Who Was Shot Returned Fire; Is Recovering Well; Shooter Still On Loose

Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher said Monday morning that the officer who was shot three times on Thursday is recovering well.   Chief Fletcher said the officer was wearing a bullet-proof vest and one bullet hit the vest, which protected him during the shooting.  The officer was able to return fire, although Chief Fletcher would not comment on how many bullets ...
