Robert Pierce, Jr., 75, of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by parents, Earl & Maud Pierce; and great-grandchild, Mitchell McArthur.

He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Pierce of the residence; sons & daughters-in-law, Gregory Allen Pierce, Robert Edward & Loritta Pierce, all of Dalton and William “Billy” III & Renee Ledford of Cisco, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Teresa & David Rogers and Tammy & Gary Maney, all of Dalton; sister, Dolly Johnston of Dalton; grandchildren, R.J. & Whitney Pierce, Seth Pierce, Brandy & Ben Tunnell, Jessica & David McArthur, Allura Rogers, Lesly Roach, Brett & Katie Roach and B.J. and Sam Ledford; great-grandchildren, Logan and Tyler Tunnell and Will McArthur; and three nieces and a nephew.

The funeral service to honor the life of Robert Pierce, Jr. will be held Friday, December 20, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Rodger Whorton officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Thursday, December 19 from 5-9 p.m.
