Matthew David Edwards, 20, of Dalton, GA, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. 

Matthew was born June 27, 1993 in Dalton, GA. 

He was preceded in death by his papaws, Lamar Pierce and Vernon Edwards.     

He is survived by parents, David Edwards and Anita Vick; step-parents, Jeffery Vick and Kelly Fauscett; sister, Jade Edwards; grandparents, Sue and Howard Dockery of Dalton, GA, Sally Lybrand of Chattanooga and Kim Spann of Calhoun, GA; uncles, Gary Pierce of Dalton, GA and Joseph Edwards of Calhoun, GA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.   

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Matthew David Edwards will be held Friday December 20, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, December 19.

Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Funeral Homes.
