Friday, December 20, 2013

A Signal Mountain man has sued the town of Signal Mountain, saying a defective drain has caused his basement to flood four times.

Forrest Walker filed the complaint in Circuit Court.

The complaint says the city has tried several minor repairs, but the problem persists.

It has caused mold to form in the basement and the insulation to be ruined, it was stated.

He said it has also ruined furniture, family photos and other items.

The suit seeks $9,620 in compensatory damages.
