Baylor Wrestlers Claim McCallie Invitational

On the strength of 11 medalists, including two champions, Baylor claimed the 33rd annual McCallie Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday afternoon.

Top seeds Jack Reynolds (106) and Bryson Popp (160) claimed titles for the Red Raiders, while Michael Murphy (113), Tate Robinson (138), Blake Sutherland (152) and Will Thomas (285) took second place honors.

"It was a good tournament for us overall with lots of great matches in the finals," said Baylor coach Ben Nelson.

"This is a high quality tournament every year and McCallie does a great job."

Cleveland was second with 196 points, and seven medalists, including three champions; Chris DeBien (126), Austin Stevison (132) and Koran Kennedy (220).
