Community Kitchen Short Of Annual Fundraising Goal

Monday, December 23, 2013

The Chattanooga Community Kitchen’s annual Fast Day campaign is falling short of this year’s goal of $700,000.  Fast Day is an annual fundraising initiative in its 26th year that supports the general operating expenses for the kitchen throughout the year.

"This year is very critical because we are seeing record numbers coming to us for help, but we are encouraged by the fact that we are also able to help more people out of homelessness and into self-sufficiency,” said a Community Kitchen official.

Gifts can be made online at their website, www.homelesschattanooga.org, in person at 727 E. 11th St., or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 11203, Chattanooga, TN 37401.
