Collegedale Police To Conduct DUI Checkpoint On Saturday

The Collegedale Police Department will be conducting a roadside DUI checkpoint on Saturday in the city of Collegedale. Areas that will be enforced are Tennessee Highway 11, Highway 317, Highway 321, and Little Debbie Parkway.


The Collegedale Police Department recognizes the danger presented to the public by drivers who drive impaired. Officers will concentrate their efforts on motorist that operate a vehicle while impaired.


The Collegedale Police Department has found that the DUI checkpoints are an effective means of enforcing the DUI laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorists.


This checkpoint is partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

Fire Displaces Mother And Son At House Near Dodds Avenue

No one was home when fire broke out in a Chattanooga home near Dodds Avenue late Friday morning.
