Man, 22, Charged With Having Sex With 15-Year-Old After Meeting Her On Facebook

A 22-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with statutory rape after admitting that he had a long relationship involving sex with a 15-year-old girl he met on Facebook.

Jomehini Morales told police that when he met the girl in 2011 he did not know her age. He said he found out in year 2 of their relationship.

The investigation began after the girl's mother took her to Children's Hospital to find out if she was pregnant. There was no finding of pregnancy.

The girl said they had been having sex at his home at 2324 12th Ave.


 


611 Athletes And Spectators Treated At Ironman Event

Woman Stabbed In Domestic Dispute Early Monday Morning

A woman was stabbed early Monday morning. Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were called to a home in the 3200 block of Navajo Drive regarding a female suffering from wounds consistent with a stabbing.
